Placer Artists Tour, Placer Land Trust and Auburn Arts Commission have partnered to bring you “Natural Wonders”, a plein air and photography exhibit inspired by Placer Land Trust’s Taylor Ranch/Big Hill Preserve in Auburn.

Placer Land Trust’s preserves protect critical unfragmented oak woodlands in the Raccoon Creek and Bear River watersheds and are part of one of the last relatively “wild” areas in western Placer County. The trails on these preserves meander past spectacular rock formations, the gently flowing Raccoon Creek, and panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sacramento Valley.

Artists visited the preserve on July 16 to sketch, paint and photograph this beautiful preserve. Their works will be on display October 11 through December 9 at Auburn City Hall Gallery. Gallery hours are 9:00 – 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Please join us for a reception to meet the artists on Thursday, October 13 from 5 to 8pm, and to honor our partner Placer Land Trust’s Conservation Celebration Week October 17-23.

Placer Artists Tour is the largest and longest-standing Visual Art Studios Tour in the northern Sierra Foothills region.

The 29th Annual Tour takes place on Veterans Day weekend, Friday, November 11, 12 & 13 from 10am to 5pm daily, with an 'Encore' weekend November 18, 19 & 20 to give you time to visit more artists.

Visit the website PlacerArtistsTour.org for Arts Directory and Events Calendar.
