Hailing from Scotland, Ireland, and Cape Breton, its members are united by a love of traditional music and a commitment to creating new music on this foundation. They blend fiddle, accordion, harp, guitar, flute, step-dance and vocals with breathtaking vitality. Their boundless energy and joie de vivre has won them a large following around the globe.
From Canada’s legendary Rankin Family musicians, Mairi Rankin plays fiddle, sings and also step-dances up a storm. Mairi is a member of the Cape Breton Celtic super group Beolach.

Teresa Horgan, from County Cork, has an emotive singing style. She recorded two albums with award-winning Irish band ‘FullSet’ and has shared the stage with The Chieftains, Declan O’Rourke, Lúnasa and more.
From the Highlands, Fiona Black expresses her musical passion with the piano accordion. Fiona’s accordion style intertwines her native Scottish style with Irish, Swedish and Cape Breton repertoire, with distinctive rhythm and vibrancy.
Ailie Robertson is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s leading young traditional musicians and clarsach (harp) virtuoso.
Award-winning Scottish guitarist and composer Michael Ferrie was named Highland Young Guitarist in 2010, and in 2013 was commissioned to compose for the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
