Artist and curator, Michael Llewellyn, will join a panel discussion on FOREST FIRE, facilitated by Nevada County Arts Council and Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

FOREST FIRE is an exhibit anchoring a new larger, artist-led movement responding to a growing recognition that Western U.S. forests are in ecological collapse, and sharing solutions offered by vital research conducted at UC Berkeley;s Sagehen Creek Field Station in Truckee, CA.

We invite thinkers, scientists, industry experts, timber innovators, policy experts and the public to share research and inspire meaningful conversation.

Flowing thematically through past, present and future, FOREST⇌FIRE will be an inter-disciplinary, multi-sensory installation whose debut in Truckee, CA will coincide with the Center for Art + Environment's Conference at the Nevada Museum of Art in 2020.

Michael Llewellyn is Artist in Residence at Nevada County Arts Council and will be joined by his producer Heather Llewellyn; Jeff Brown and Fearthen Felix, Directors at UC Berkely’s Sagehen Creek Field Station; Bill Fox, Director, Center for Art + Environment at Nevada Museum of Art, and Eliza Tudor, Executive Director, Nevada County Arts Council.
