BELONGING / I AM HERE
Explores how women find and maintain their sense of belonging in our changing rural landscape. Lead Artist Ruth Chase will elicit perspectives through the use of social media, public art-making salons, a short film, and an interactive public installation called I AM HERE. I AM HERE is, ultimately, a community conversation- a way to connect, explore and empower.
JUDE BISCHOFF is a full time artist living in Cedar Ridge, CA. His work was voted Best of Show at the 2018 Durango Fall Arts Festival. His painting "American River Bear"appeared on the Wild and Scenic Film Festival poster. Among his attributes, he has been featured in in the Tahoe Quarterly and most recently in the Reno News and Review.
BELONGING is about our vulnerable mountain home and the people who tend it, love it and depend on it. I AM HERE is about how women find and maintain their sense of belonging in our changing rural landscape. Perspectives will be explored through the use of social media, public art-making salons, a short film, and a culminating interactive public installation called I AM HERE.
